Juvéderm®
Juvéderm is a filler injection that is used to smooth moderate lines & wrinkles or to make lips fuller.
Juvéderm is a biosynthetically produced dermal filler composed of non-animal Hyaluronic Acid which has been chemically modified. Hyaluronic Acid is a natural substance that exists in the human body & helps to provide volume and fullness to the face and lips. When injected, the Juvéderm composition "fills” the lines and wrinkles giving your skin a smooth appearance or making your lips appear full. The procedure is easy and recovery time is minimal. The effects of Juvéderm injections can last nine months.

If you have had any of our Beautifying treatments or if you plan on having a treatment done and want to know some about post procedure treatment, read the guidelines below:
- You will experience swelling and redness over the treated areas. This effect is generally more pronounced in the lips. It can be treated by frequent applications of ice packs for the first 24 hours.
- There is a chance that you will bruise. Any bruises are superficial and will resolve in a few days. This resolution can be hastened by the use of Arnica Montana gel applied to the bruised areas twice a day for three days.
- Restylane® can cause lumpiness that generally is felt more than it is seen. This generally resolves over the first 3-4 days.
- The result can appear uneven. This generally corrects itself over the first couple of weeks. If these effects persist past this time, call the office for further instructions.
- Restylane® will last about 4 months in the lips and up to 5 months in the frown and smile lines.
- Any touch-ups need to be performed about two weeks after the initial treatment. Any remaining product will be saved for a touch-up, but it will only be stored for six months, after which it will be discarded.
